Irrigating fruit trees in "valve box" or "mulch shield"

Greywater flows into a "valve box" or "mulch shield". Three gallon plastic pots were used to protect the pipe from clogging with  mulch or tree roots. The mulch shield is usually covered with a cement paving stone, allowing future access to maintain clearance around the pipe and to check flow.
