Laundry drum to hose connection

Poly hose is connected to the bottom of the barrel.  There is NO shut off valve since the drum is not a storage tank, just a "surge" tank where the washing machine pump can dump the greywater quickly, then the water slowly drains from the drum to the garden.  It is important to remember to move the hose from place to place in the garden so no one area becomes oversaturated, risking pooling of greywater on the surface.
